Some restaurants avail if you travel outside the park. Only some of the hill sites and the grassy sites actually have a clear ocean view. Amazing place for camping and for the family. On your way back to the parking lot, take a last breather in the shelter providing bathrooms and drinking water fountains. At the extreme northeast end of the Gaspé Peninsula, 700 km from Québec and 350 km from the New Brunswick boundary, via Highway 132 East Shaped by erosion, Forillon National Park offers an impressive, natural decor with its majestic mountains, its meadows dotted with wildflowers, its coves lined by pebble beaches, as well as its steep cliffs overshadowing the sea.

The sites are spacious, but there is little vegetation between the inside loop sites to provide privacy. With so much to spot, best bring your binoculars! About 20 minutes to Gaspe' with full services including a couple of grocery stores, Canadian Tire, Tim Horton's with excellent Wifi. Hiking, Biking, kayaking, swimming, relaxing are all possible. We were quite fortunate to be there during low season so we did not have campers on either side of us. Camping in Gaspésie National Park This mountainous provincial park in the interior of the Gaspé Peninsula provides a startling contrast to the fishing villages and crumbling rockfaces of the coast.

The campground is built on a terraced hillside and Sites B204 to B213 are pull-ins, so the view through the windshield is outstanding. However, I would not call this campground big rig friendly. Lots of hiking trails and things to see. Different water fill spots available and a dump station out front. A phenomenon for which we have little explanation.

A good flowing trail network will have most trails flowing in a single direction according to their intension. Restrooms and laundry appeared clean and well-maintained. Most of the employees speak some English and are very helpful. Only 16 of the 100 sites are available - all the rest are seasonal. We camped at Petit-Gaspe Campground Parks Canada in a Motorhome. The electric hook-up loop in Petit-Gaspé is a campfire-free zone, Cap-Bon-Ami has no electric hookups and is suited for tents, small tent-trailers or small class B vehicles, it does have incredible views. Many interesting viewpoints along the La Chute trail.

Forillon National Park, QC Campground Reviews

A sandy spit covered by lichens and black spruce, a type of vegetation more typical of high altitudes or latitudes. The only reason it is not a 10, there was no pool. They have a great heated swimming pool and recreation area. We would stay here again only to visit Forillon. Restaurants and banks in town too.

Verizon cellular service is marginal 2 bars 4G. Example driving distances are: Le Parc National de la Gaspésie to Forillon — 245km, 3 hours direct we took 6! Ours had a large adjoining grassy space with a high-quality picnic table and fire box where we were visited by a porcupine who strolled past on his way to climb a tree. We camped at Petit-Gaspe Campground Parks Canada in a Motorhome. However, if we had, I'm fairly sure our awnings would touch. Their website is only in French, but Google Translate does a good job converting it to English. View from shelter From the peak, you may notice that the landscape is sharply divided between flat lower lands and rugged mountains. The campsites are set so that you pull through in opposite directions from each other meaning that your front door faces the front door of the camper adjacent to you.

The waters surrounding the park are home to a variety of species of seals and whales including the humpback whale, the minke whale and the Atlantic white-sided dolphin. Some of these ready-to-camp tents come fully equipped with heating, electricity and a small fridge. The view is the reward on the hike to Mont St-Alban. We found the campground free Wi-Fi was typically better than our Verizon coverage, but both were intermittent. Clean restrooms with hot showers. This provided privacy without hemming us in or reducing the open feel you want when you are camping near the ocean. Be mindful of staying within marked trails, for the protection of this especially fragile habitat.

Gravel site was fairly level, 30 amp electric with water on our site. And the campground loops and sites are a bit tight for a long rig like ours 40 ft. Le camping est boisé, les sanitaires pas trop loin, simples mais bien entretenus, la plage de galet à proximité est grandiose. There are no pull-throughs anywhere in the park, but there are several big rig friendly sites. La plage de galet est accessible et vraiment superbe!! Sites were large and spacious. Nice new showers and bathrooms. The 30A service met our needs and we were able to fill the rig's water tank from a tap adjacent to our site.
